Good environmental practice in the European extractive industry
More information on the way the non-metallic extractive industry actually operates can be found in the "Good Environmental Practice in the European Extractive Industry: a Reference Guide"(download envguide.pdf). The initiative of producing this guide arose from co-operation between the Enterprise Directorate General of the European Commission and the main trade associations of the sector.
In 2001, IMA - Europe and EUROGYPSUM published an excerpt of the guide with examples from the industrial minerals and gypsum industries.
